Conference facilities excellent with very helpful staff who are always available to sort out a problem. Front desk Receptionists friendly and back-room staff very efficient. All staff at this establishment are well trained and very courteous - a compliment to the Management.

The hotel has been named a national monument. Built in 1895 is has kept the doors open to guests and still welcoming guests. The gardens are well kept and provide a breath of fresh air in the middle of the city of Johannesburg. You can access the hotel via public transport (Rea Vaya bus F12 and Gautrain bus J1) from the Johannesburg Park Station. The restaurant offers a great menu and there is a bar for afternoon sundowners. The hotel also has a cigar room, swimming pool and gym as one of the facilities. Located in a corporate area, the environment is very quite and suitable for a business trip and business meetings. Lovely hotel with a lot of history.

The quaint and picturesque Sunnyside Park Hotel in the Parktown suburb of Johannesburg is an excellent spot for anyone attending conferences at Wits University or looking for a tranquil holiday experience. Staff are extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile for guests. WiFi access is free and fast. Rooms are clean and house keeping services are extremely efficient. The hotel restaurant and the pub cater delicious meals at a good price. Transport services to and from Wits University is also free during the week - for those attending conferences nearby. The hotel is also safe if you are looking for peace of mind during your stay. You will definitely not be disappointed.

A very well organised and efficient institution, with staff that strive to do their best in providing quality service. The environment is friendly and welcoming, food and beverages out of this world and well prepared. Continue doing good job in the tourism industry.

The quality of the services and the standard of the room met my expectations. The atmosphere is conducive for any kind of business. Nice and courteous staff, who are always present and willing to assist.

Last weekend I had to stay over in Johannesburg. Did a tour that started at the Sunnyside Park Hotel and ended there. So it made sense to stay in the lovely old world hotel. Although the hotel got four stars, I would give them five. With the fantastic service and friendly staff, they deserve to be a five-star hotel. The room was comfortable, super clean and neat. The food in both the Restaurant and at the Pound & Penny Pub was exquisite. The staff at reception was friendly, helpful and professional. The room service was faster than a bullet. Louis Sauvage made it a memorable stay and one I would recommend to all other travellers out there.

We had Sunday lunch at the Lord Milner restaurant in the Sunnyside Park hotel and the standard of the service and meal was excellent!!! Starter, Main, desert and coffee at a bargain price of only R120 per person. If you feel like a real traditional Sunday lunch, this is the place!

One of my favourite hotels, comfortable clean rooms, with a lovely lounge and beautiful maintained gardens. Friendly staff and convenient shuttle service. Fantastic breakfast; nice variety to choose from.

Overall, the hotel was very good and I would stay there again. The staff was friendly, the food was good and served on time. In the conference room, the hotel would automatically switch on the heat to accommodate us and keep us warm from the cold weather.

The glorious, peaceful gardens are the most enjoyable feature of the hotel. My room was kind of old-school, a little dark, but perfectly comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Meals are also old fashioned.

Enjoyed my stay at Sunnyside Park Hotel. The manager on duty and his staff were very helpful when we were setting up our training room. The rooms were great and the food was perfect. The complimentary shuttle to Sandton Shopping Mall was also just perfect!
Austin M (Nov 17, Wk 4)Great stay
Excellent service, well-behaved and well-trained staff. Food was great, especially the custard and pudding, I only wish sometimes, guests could be treated to their local delicacies, that is, food from the country of your guest.

I stayed here while attending a conference. It is very conveniently located close to the Faculty of Health Sciences at Wits. It is a beautiful old building, well maintained, very charming and comfortable.

What a hotel! You won't regret why you went there. I had peace of mind, I even managed to do some of my studies there without any disturbance. I was there for a week but it seems as if I was there for 2 days, I really enjoyed my stay more than anything. The food was so mouth watering.
